After much contemplation, I purchased this set in an effort to get away from the nonstick pans that are so prevelant today. I researched the brand and discovered that Fagor pans are popular in Eurpopean countires, but are not so common here in the U.S. I already owned a Fagor Multi-pot and while this larger set does not have the encapsulated base that the multi-pot has, this set looks, feels, and performs just as well.The handles are confortable to hold, the glass lids fit snugly, the steam escape vent on the lids is well designed, and the overall performance is top-quality. The pan sizes that Fagor has chosen to include in this set are perfect. As with all stainless pans, they do have a tendency to become discolored after cooking starchy foods like rice, but with a touch of Barkeeper's Friend cleaner, the discolorations disappear. I also strongly suggest that if you buy stainless pans, you should follow the directions that say to preheat the pans before adding ingredients, and never heat on your highest setting. With proper care, this set it sure to last us for many, many years.

Made to withstand up to 500 degrees, the oven safe cookware is safe to use on all domestic cooking surfaces, gas, electric, ceramic, and induction. It has an inner and outer layer of 18/10 stainless steel and a heavy gauge aluminum core for maximum heat conductivity. The lids are tempered glass with cast stainless steel handles and have a hole for steam to escape. Dishwasher safe, the cookware comes with 1 year warranty under normal household use.This Spanish manufacturer has significant expertise in designing pressure cookers and cookware, although its presence has been much larger in Europe. All pots and pans have a sturdy tri-ply construction composed of two layers of 18/10 stainless-steel sandwiched around a heavy-gauge aluminum core for speedy and even heat delivery. The finish is brushed to make cleaning easier and to make fingerprints and stains from food residue less obvious. The skillets and sauté pan have long stainless-steel handles that remain cool to the touch over a hot stove and are riveted to the pans for long-lasting durability. Tempered glass lids provide a good view into each pot without requiring cooks to lift them up for a peek and are vented to allow steam to escape. Because this cookware doesn't have any magnetic elements, it can be used on any type of stovetop, including induction ranges.
